The time traveller purchased an abandoned factory in 1888 (brought low by economics of the times) which he in converted into his sanctuary - a private laboratory where he perfected his first theories and first expressions of time travel.
The time traveller's lab - militarized! In order to help Mother England and the west against the encroachment of Nazi scientists into the Time Stream, the Time Traveller works closely with a secret group of Ally scientists to monitor the Time Stream.
The year is 1945. The old factory is mostly replaced by a military style bunker and expanded yard area. The yard area takes up two full blocks, and now guardposts decorate the tops of the walls. The beautiful glass dome of previous years has been reinforced and set up under a new mechanical system. New industrial lighting has been added to the inside room, and many of the older victorian elements have been removed from the scaffolding.
Here was born a British Enigma Machine and an early computational device (perhaps with future tech?). New devices, including a telephone, soldering iron equipment and the remnants of the 1888 and 1926 time machines occupy the building.
