It would surprise many that the most common mode of transportation of merchant goods in Anvilheart is by water - the green river lies below the Great Walk, and it is at the king's warehouse and docks that cargo is transferred into and out of small vessels which move goods throughout the city. Two powerful cranes lift and store goods on three levels; there is also a gated storage area. Like all dwarven architecture, it uses a variety of beautiful stonework.
Anvilheart is the great city of the dwarves - located beneath Anvilheart mountain, this city is hidden from the eyes of other free peoples - yet still a bustling hub of trade and political power. Here the dwarven king rules and his people thrive.

Dwarven Customs Revealed
A close study of this model set reveals some of the oft times hidden customs of the dwarves:
* Although dwarves strongly voice that they sink when they touch water, Anvilheart relies on boat transportation to move almost all merchant goods throughout the city.
* With the strict legal adherence to laws in dwarven society, almost all goods can be stored openly
* Dwarven machinery (as seen in the cranes) excels that of the orcs
* Even purely functional buildings in Anvilheart take on their own beauty to match the high quality stonework found in the homes of the wealthy and public drinking houses.
